Products like Fender have long be known and used by the musicians from around the world. Since 1954, Fender has made many musical instruments from acoustic guitars to amplifiers. In this moment, I would like to review about one of the hi-end products of Fender; American Deluxe Zone Bass. Zone Bass uses modern technologies without leaving Fender is distinctive style along with the metamorphoses into a modern music.

deluxebassfenderAPPEARANCE The first time I saw Zone Bass, the ‘luxury’ appearance came to my sight. The golden-plated hardware and the 5 layer body (Walnut/Maple/Mahogany/Maple/Walnut) is the well-known uniqueness from this Zone Bass. It also furnished with abalone inlays and beautifully sculpted body.

SOUND I plucked the Zone Bass into an amp. My God!—it’s what I thinking for the first time. The sound is so powerful. The Zone Bass’ sound is designed for the rough playing style; like rock. The unique 18V circuitry makes the sound big and fat even when the volume and input gain was set low, but not affecting the articulation and the tone. Because the 18V circuitry, along with the 2 Zone Humbucking Pickups, it provides big gain, causing the sound to be broad.

PLAYABILITY Zone bass is not too heavy. It fits when playing sitting or standing. The Zone Bass was designed for performance on stage, so it was light weight and slim. When playing, I can play fast because of the smooth and thin neck. We can play different kinds of music by adjusting the controls—it’s easy, I think. The distance between each string is not so wide, so I can play easily. This Zone Bass is designed for a professional!

CONCLUSION The Zone Bass is fit for anyone who wanted to play professionally. Besides the luxury appearance, it also has a blasting sound. The functional controls are essential for performance on stage! A very GREAT BASS!
